Customer Attributes for Orders, Quotes, and Transfers

Custom Attributes now support order-related entities, including Sales Orders, Quotes, and Purchase Orders. This allows you to capture additional order information, control how users enter it, and make it available in Reports, Tables, and Search. After creating an attribute, users can view and update it from the Custom Attributes section on an open order.

  • Navigate to Admin > Custom Attributes to create or edit an attribute for an Order Entity such as a Sales Order, Quote, or Purchase Order.
  • Enter a Database Field Name using lowercase letters only, with no spaces or special characters.
  • Set the Display Name and Description so users can identify the field and view helpful guidance by hovering over the information icon.
  • Choose a Data Type such as String, Number, or Boolean based on the type of Order Information you need to collect.
  • Configure Field Options to define selectable values, enable Multi-Select, require completion, and include the attribute in Reports, Tables, or Search.
  • Open an Order, Quotes, or Transfer and review the Custom Attributes section to view the configured field and update its selected value while creating or editing the order.
