Create a Work Order Using Transform

This process shows how to create a work order directly from the Transform button in 10X ERP when converting one inventory item into multiple smaller pieces.  Once the work order is confirmed and completed, the inventory quantities and lot records automatically update to reflect the new items on hand. This is useful for manufacturing, cutting, or repackaging scenarios where larger stock items are broken down into smaller units.

• Open The Source Item and navigate to the Item Record for the Inventory you want to transform, such as a 20-foot black pipe.
• Access The Transform Function by selecting the Lots tab and clicking the Transform button next to Move And Adjust.
• Select The Quantity To Transform and choose the Lot or Item Quantity you want to convert into a new item.
• Choose The New Item by selecting the Destination Item, such as the 5-foot black pipe.
• Enter The Conversion Factor to define how many finished pieces will be created from the original item, such as converting 1 pipe into 4 pieces.
• Create The Work Order by clicking Create Work Order from the Transform dialog box to automatically open the Build screen.
• Review And Confirm The Work Order to verify the quantities and transformation details before processing the build.
• Complete The Work Order by checking the completed lines, selecting the appropriate Location, and moving the inventory to finalize the process.
• Verify Updated Inventory Quantities by returning to the Item and Lots screens to confirm the newly created inventory is now On Hand.
