Update an Assembly Price Through the Component Price Calculator

You can update the pricing of an assembly item in a Sales Order by adjusting the prices of its components. This requires the item to have Price by Components enabled, allowing the system to roll up component pricing into the final assembly price. By using the component price calculator, you can quickly define cost and markup to generate accurate pricing. The updated component values automatically recalculate the total assembly price in the Sales Order.

• Enable Price by Components in the Item Entity to allow component-level pricing for assemblies.
• Open Your Sales Order and select the assembly item line to access additional options.
• Click the Component Button to view and manage the list of assembly components.
• Select a Component that needs pricing and open the Price Calculator using the dollar sign button.
• Enter Cost and Apply Markup using Margin, Multiplier, or Markup Percent to generate the component price.
• Apply the Calculated Price to update the selected component before closing the dialog.
• Review the Updated Assembly Price to confirm the total reflects the rolled-up component pricing.
