10X Sales Tax Matching Rules
10X ERP determines the correct sales tax rule by first retrieving all applicable rules for the given country and state, ranking them by match specificity (from most to least detailed). It then evaluates each rule in order using a structured sequence of matching criteria, starting with the most precise combinations (county, city, zip+4) and gradually broadening the match scope. The system continues this step-by-step evaluation until a valid match is found. If no exact or partial matches are identified, it defaults to the least specific rule based on the original priority sorting.
