Updating Permission Templates

To update user permissions in 10X ERP, navigate to the Permission Templates area under the Admin section. From there, you can create a new template, configure access by enabling or disabling permissions by module or function, and then assign the template to specific users. This allows you to efficiently manage role-based access, such as limiting Warehouse Users to operational tools while restricting access to sensitive areas like Accounting or CRM.

  • Go to Admin > Users > Permission Templates to view or manage existing templates or create a new one.
  • Click the Plus Icon (+) to start a new permission template and give it a Name relevant to the role (e.g., Warehouse Users).
  • Set Default Printers (Optional) if needed for label or document printing specific to that role.
  • Enable or Disable Permissions by viewing all permission categories and toggling access for Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Tools, etc., based on the role's needs.
  • Remove Access to Sensitive Sections like Admin, Accounting, CRM, and certain Dashboards if not required for that role.
  • Click the Check Mark to Save your permission template once all access levels have been set.
  • Go to the Users Tab to assign the new template to a specific user by editing their profile.
  • Select the Permission Template from the dropdown menu to apply the new access settings to the user immediately.
