Overnight Inventory Allocation Options in 10X; Reallocate Inventory Overnight by Wanted Date

This video explains the two key overnight inventory allocation settings available in the 10X ERP Admin panel under General Settings > Inventory. The default Overnight Inventory Allocation setting automatically allocates newly available inventory to eligible open sales or work orders. The optional Reallocate Inventory Overnight by Wanted Date feature takes a more aggressive approach, decommitting all inventory and reallocating it strictly based on wanted dates. This is useful for high-turnover products with long lead times, but should be monitored carefully after activation.

• Navigate to Admin > General Settings > Inventory Section
• Enable "Overnight Inventory Allocation" To Automatically Allocate Inventory To Eligible Sales/Work Orders. Note that this is the system default and we encourage clients to keep this checked.
• Optionally Enable "Reallocate Inventory Overnight By Wanted Date" To Fully Decommit And Reassign Inventory Based On Wanted Dates
• Use Wanted Date Reallocation For High-Turn Products With Long Commit Windows
• Monitor Closely After Enabling Wanted Date Option To Avoid Disruption From Manual Overrides Or Unexpected Reallocations
