Adding Freight Cost & Details to Manual Tracking Shipments (Freight, non-Ship Tool, etc.)

When entering a manual tracking shipment in 10X, users can be prompted to input freight costs—even if the shipment wasn’t processed through the Ship Tool. This feature applies to shipping methods not tied to EasyPost and configured with billing options flagged to “Add to Invoice.” This helps prompt shippers to include the freight cost before the invoice reaches the invoice stage.

  • Select Shipping Method That Is Not Synced to EasyPost (e.g., Freight, LTL, etc.)
  • Ensure Billing Option Is Set to “Prepay and Add” or Another “Add to Invoice” Option
  • Enter Freight Details using the Manual Tracking on a Shipment, Including Boxes, Weight, and Tracking Info
  • Click Save to Trigger Prompt to Enter Freight Cost if the Billing Option is set to "Add to Invoice"
  • Input Manual Freight Amount (e.g., $100) When Prompt Appears
  • Verify Invoice Includes Add-On for Freight Cost and Any Applicable Handling Fees
