Setting Email Preferences on Shipments, Order Acknowledgements, and Pickups; Updating Shipments to Not Send Email to Customers Automatically
This video explains how to manage shipment email preferences in 10X, including how to disable shipping notifications either temporarily or permanently. Shipping emails default to the “ordered by” contact on the sales order, but these behaviors can be modified through customer settings under the confirmations section. You can choose to disable emails entirely, add custom recipients, or override defaults based on your operational needs.
Open Customer Record and Go to the Confirmations Section to Manage Email Settings
Locate the Shipping Confirmation Section and Choose One of Four Email Options:
- Do Not Send to Disable All Notifications
- Sales Order Only to Send to the Sales Order's Ordered By Email
- Add Additional Email to Include the Customer Record Email Alongside Sales Order Email
- Custom Only to Use Only the Email Set in Customer Settings
- Edit or Add Shipping Confirmation Emails as Needed
- Email Preferences Also Apply to Order Acknowledgements and Pickup Confirmations in the Same Section
