Managing and Setting Default Printers

To manage default printers in 10X ERP, settings can be applied at three levels: user, warehouse, and template. The most specific level is the user setting, which takes priority, followed by warehouse defaults, and finally, template-level settings. These defaults determine which printers populate automatically in email and print dialogs. Properly setting these ensures smoother print workflows across various business functions.

  • Go to Admin > Users To Set User-Level Default Printers
  • Select a Specific User, Click Edit, And Choose Default Printer And Default Label Printer
  • Go to Admin > Warehouses To Set Warehouse-Level Default Printers
  • Edit the Warehouse Record And Define Default Printer Settings (used when user-level defaults are not set)
  • Go to Admin > Templates To Configure Template-Level Print Defaults
  • Select a Dialog Template (e.g., Shipping), Then Assign Default Printers For Tasks Like Picking Or Packing
  • Use Template Settings To Override Defaults For Specific Use Cases, Such As Sending Pack Slips To A Separate Printer Location

This cascading setup ensures flexibility and accuracy in printer assignments throughout the system.
