Professional Services

Unlock the Full Potential of Your 10X ERP with Professional Services

Professional Services (PS) typically includes any non-developer work that requires additional time, configuration, analysis, or training beyond the scope of standard Support. PS ensures clients can receive hands-on assistance, customized workflows, data cleanup, or deeper guidance to enhance their use of 10X ERP.

A request is treated as Professional Services when:

  • The work requires more than a quick Support response (typically beyond ~15 minutes).
  • The client needs hands-on assistance beyond basic Support (configuration, cleanup, setup, or analysis).
  • The request involves training, workflow optimization, reporting setup, or e-commerce adjustments not caused by a 10X bug.
    • Includes issues tied to third-party integrations or external software, where the cause is outside 10X's direct control.
  • The client needs help correcting client-caused data issues, including incorrect or incomplete migrated data after Orbit Handover (30 days post-Launch).
  • The request requires manual intervention or specialized work by the 10X team (reviewing data, adjusting setups, mapping, etc.).
  • The client is asking 10X to perform work on their behalf, not just provide guidance.

A request is not considered PS when:

  • It is a confirmed 10X bug.
  • It is basic usage guidance easily handled within standard Support.
  • It is caused by bad data originating from a 10X issue (treated as a Bug).

What Can Professional Services Do For You?

  • Report assistance, including building or adjusting custom reports.
  • Training sessions for users or teams.
  • Workflow consulting or optimization requests.
  • Data cleanup, including corrections after migration once Orbit Handover is complete.
  • Adjustments to e-commerce pages or integrations not caused by a 10X bug.
    • Note: Issues originating from third-party integrations or external software typically fall under Services, not Bugs, when the cause is outside 10X's direct control.
  • Manual updates or configuration work requested by the client.
  • Reviewing and correcting client-entered data errors.
  • Setting up or restructuring configurations, mappings, or account setups.
  • Assistance performing work on behalf of the client, rather than guidance on how to do it themselves.

Flexible Ways to Get Started

Professional Services (PS) Blocks provide clients with predictable access to hands-on assistance, deeper consulting, Insight (BI) support, and recurring guidance beyond standard Support. PS is intended to deliver meaningful value through dedicated time and proactive collaboration, while ensuring expectations remain aligned as clients progress through their Orbit partnership with 10X.

Monthly PS Blocks are ideal for clients who expect ongoing help with:

  • Training or workflow optimization
  • Insight (BI) report or dashboard creation/updates, including customizable views, new dashboards, or enhanced analytics
  • Operational or process consulting
  • Configuration or data cleanup needs
  • Periodic Consult Visits to align teams, review processes, or strengthen system usage
    • (A two-day Consult Visit is available for 25 PS Hours and can only be booked using banked PS hours from monthly subscribers)

PS Block Options & Pricing

Clients may book PS in any 5-hour increment: 5, 10, 15, or 20 hours per month, billed at $1,000 per 5-hour block.

Two subscription levels include structured Pulse touchpoints:

  • 10 PS Hours / Month
    • Includes a 30-minute Pulse Meeting once per quarter to review completed work, prioritize ideas, and cover client-selected topics.
  • 20 PS Hours / Month
    • Includes a 30-minute Pulse Meeting once per month for review, prioritization, and strategic discussion.

At this time, 20 PS Hours per month is the standard maximum, unless specifically discussed and approved.

Program Management & Transparency

  • PS hours accumulate and roll over indefinitely with no expiration.
  • Clients may pause future PS billing if accumulated hours grow large enough.
  • Unused PS hours are not refundable, but remain available for all PS-related work—including Consult Visits and BI enhancements.
  • On-Site Consult Visits can only be booked using banked PS hours from monthly subscribers to ensure proper resource availability and scheduling.

Non-PS Subscribers & One-Time Charges

You don't need a monthly subscription to get help. The right path depends on the type of work:

Professional Services (non-developer work) — training, configuration, data cleanup, reporting setup, workflow consulting, or other hands-on assistance. When a request qualifies as PS, 10X will:

  1. Notify you that the request falls under Professional Services
  2. Provide an estimate or recommended number of PS hours
  3. Obtain your approval before beginning any work

There's no discovery fee for this work — just approval before time is allocated.

Custom development & billable features — custom features, new integrations, or development work. These follow the discovery and quoting process described under Custom Development & Billable Features below, including the applicable discovery fee.

If you're not sure which category your request falls into, just ask — our support team will let you know before anything is billed or scheduled.

Custom Development & Billable Features

Some requests go beyond Professional Services — custom features, new integrations, or development work tailored to your business. These follow a dedicated scoping and quoting process so you receive an accurate, written estimate before any work begins.

How it works:

  1. Submit your request — tell us what you're trying to accomplish (see Submitting a Strong Request below).
  2. Discovery — once your discovery fee is received, our engineering team assesses feasibility, identifies dependencies, and documents the work required.
  3. Scope & quote — within 4 business days you'll receive a written scope and a firm quote.
  4. Approval — review and sign to schedule the work.
  5. Delivery & invoicing — work is completed and invoiced on completion.

Discovery Fee

To make sure every estimate is accurate and thoughtful, we collect a discovery fee before scoping begins:

  • Standard requests: $200
  • Complex or enterprise-scale requests: $500 (tier determined by our support team at intake)
  • The discovery fee is non-refundable.
  • If you accept and sign the resulting quote within 30 days, the full discovery fee is credited toward your project invoice.
  • PS Block subscribers: the discovery fee is drawn from your banked PS hours rather than billed separately.

What You'll Receive

Your written scope document includes:

  • The engineering estimate
  • Assumptions
  • What's included — and what's out of scope
  • Dependencies and risks
  • A firm quote, valid for 14 days

Need It Faster?

If you require expedited delivery, a rush option is available for an additional charge. Share your target date at intake and we'll confirm whether rush applies.

Changes to Scope

If the project scope changes after work begins, we'll document it in a written change order for your approval before continuing — keeping timelines and costs clear for everyone.

Payment Terms

Project work is invoiced upon approval, with payment due on receipt. Any discovery fee credit is applied to this invoice.

Submitting a Strong Request

To help us turn around an accurate quote quickly, include as much of the following as you can:

  • The business outcome you're after — the problem you're solving and what success looks like
  • Any current workaround you're using
  • Your timeline or target completion date, and whether the request is rush
  • Supporting materials — mockups, screenshots, sample data, or reference documents

The more context you provide up front, the faster we can scope and quote your request.
