Shipment Method Not Available

When attempting to process a shipment, you may encounter one of the following error messages:

  • "Ground is not an available shipping method for this shipment. Please choose a rate manually."
  • "This is not an available shipping method for this shipment. Please choose a rate manually."

These errors indicate that the selected shipping method is not available for the destination address.


Common Causes:

  • The shipping method selected does not support international destinations (e.g., UPS Ground cannot be used to ship to Canada or Mexico).
  • The carrier does not offer the selected service to the specific address.
  • Address restrictions prevent the use of certain shipping methods.

Resolution Steps:

  1. When the error message appears, click the Compare Rates button.
  2. A list of all available shipping methods for the entered address will be displayed.
  3. Select an appropriate shipping method from the available options.

Additional Notes:

  • If no rates appear after clicking Compare Rates, double-check the destination address for accuracy.
  • If the issue persists, verify that your shipping carrier settings are correctly configured.
