Exporting Data and Using Pivot Tables in Excel or Google Sheets

This video explains how to export data from 10X ERP and create a pivot table in Excel or Google Sheets to analyze data. The data used in the example if for customer sales history by item and time period.

  • Export Data from 10X ERP by applying filters and exporting as a CSV.
    • Note, multiple table data can be exported and grouped into a single file for more robust reporting.
  • In Excel:
    • Create a Pivot Table, then drag information to consolidate into the appropriate areas. For Example Customer Name, Item, and Ship Date into Rows, Columns, and Values.
    • Excel auto-consolidate time periods typically for quicker viewing
  • In Google Sheets:
    • Paste the data from the csv, create a Pivot Table, and similar to excel, drag information into the appropriate areas. For example, Rows for Customer Name, Item, and Ship Date, with Values for Quantity Sold.
    • Google Sheets may require manual adjustments for Time Period grouping.
  • Both Excel and Google Sheets offer easy ways to analyze Data exported from 10X ERP.
  • Utilize ChatGPT, Google/Searches for more specifics on Pivot Tables, which are a quick and easy way to analyze data.
  • 10X will be implemented similar features/functionality into our reporting over time. Utilizing existing functionality is a great way to compile what you may specifically need!
