Correcting Base Unit of Measure on an Item; Changing Item UM

This video demonstrates how to change the unit of measure (UM) for an item in 10X ERP, especially when it has been mistakenly added to an assembly or another area where transactions have already occurred. Due to the strict handling of UMs in the database, this process involves duplicating the item and reassigning the correct UM.

• Identify the Item with the Incorrect Unit of Measure
• Attempt to Change the UM; If Transactions Exist, the Change Will Be Blocked
• Mark the Item for Deletion (e.g., Add "Delete" to the Item Name)
• Duplicate the Item, Assign the Correct UM, and Save the New Item
• Delete the Original Item and Update Any Assemblies or Locations Using the Correct Item

This ensures the item is correctly set up with the appropriate unit of measure, avoiding future issues in the system.
